Treatment Foster Parent Description
Full-Time Position
This is a professional foster home position, which involves supervision and direct care for at-risk, delinquent and/or dependent youth, ages 8-18, male or female. Treatment Foster Parents (TFP) contract with Catholic Community Services (CCS) through Youth & Family Consultants (YFC) to provide direct care for one or more youth placed in the home. TFPs work closely with an assigned Youth & Family Consultant in supporting the youths' Individualized Service Plans.
Requirements

Certification as a TFP through the agency's certification process

Valid Oregon driver's license and vehicle (with specified insurance)

Personal liability insurance (homeowners'/renters' insurance)

Criminal History Check & Fingerprinting Check

1st Aide/CPR Certified

Bachelor's or 2 Years of Experience Working with Youth is Preferred but not Mandatory
Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain and operate a TFP home for the supervision, nurturing and guidance of youth as agreed upon with CCS/YFC

Attend monthly In-Service and business meetings provided by YFC personnel, which count toward the mandatory 30 hours for primary TFP and 10 hours for secondary TFP of yearly training

Attend scheduled appointments regarding youth and with assigned Youth & Family Consultant

Complete necessary documentation regarding youth in care

Provide transportation for youth as necessary

Provide recreational opportunities for youth in care

Maintain confidentiality regarding youth in care

Be available for youth placement and services as agreed upon with CCS/YFC

Monitor youths' daily routines/schedules

Utilize payments by CCS/YFC to provide maintenance for youth as detailed in policy

Utilize YFC Standard Operating procedures-SOP Manual as a basis of operation
